Ecclesiastical will be giving away a £12,500 charity pot at the BIBA Conference and brokers can nominate their preferred charities which will receive a share of the donation.

The specialist insurer will have two charity initiatives running for the trade body. During the conference, brokers can submit their nominations on the Ecclesiastical stand. The winning charity will be drawn at the close of the final day and will receive a grant of £2,500.

In the run-up to the conference, brokers can also vote online to select one of three charity categories – community support, health and wellbeing and heritage preservation. Ecclesiastical will then select three charities representing the winning category.

The three charities will be revealed at the BIBA Conference and will share a £10,000 pot. Their respective portion will be determined by the number of votes from attending brokers.

“We’re keen to give brokers the opportunity to get more involved in the charity giving and community volunteering side of our business,” said Adrian Saunders, commercial director at Ecclesiastical.

“I would encourage brokers to visit the website to vote and find out more about our work with charities and communities, but also to think about the charity they would like to nominate to benefit from £2,500 funding,” Saunders added.

According to Saunders, the £67 million that Ecclesiastical has given since 2014 has helped more than 3,000 organisations.
