For both businesses and individuals operating cars and light vans, Jackson Lee Underwriting has a new specialist replacement vehicle mobility product designed to complement standard motor insurance policies.

In cases where cover for replacement vehicles in the event of theft or total loss is not afforded by the standard policy, the new product steps in to provide a temporary replacement vehicle. Available to insurance brokers via Jackson Lee’s online broker facility ABEL, the supplemental policy is underwritten by Ageas UK and has varying levels of cover.

“We have provided mobility solutions for many years tailored to specific niche markets, such as driving instructors’ dual controlled vehicles, for example,” noted joint managing director Nick Mohan. “This new variant of the product has appeal to the broader broker market and provides cover where conventional motor insurance policies may not.”

Mohan added: “Being able to administer the policies all through the same platform and to limit the number of TOBAs (terms of business agreement) they need, should also be a welcome change for brokers.”

The firm, which has a wide array of niche insurance products for both personal and commercial line brokers, recently appointed two senior business development managers for the South and the Midlands.
