As part of its quality assurance efforts mainly to benefit its clientele, Winchester-based insurance software provider Transactor Global Solutions Ltd (TGSL), underwent the ISO certification process, which was recently concluded with a passing grade.

The International Organisation for Standardisation provides industrial certification to enterprises as a stamp of quality of its capabilities, processes, and human resources.

TGSL specifically applied for ISO 27001 certification to demonstrate the firm’s ability to assess risk and manage its people, process and information resources to support information security.

ISO 27001 certifies that the firm has demonstrable abilities to protect against data system vulnerabilities, implement a comprehensive system of information security controls, and introduce and sustain efficient management control systems.

In a statement, Ian Blakesley, TGSL chief information officer, said: “We are proud to have achieved ISO 27001 certification, which we hope will assure customers of our commitment to cyber security and data protection…We created a cross-functional team from IT, development, HR and operations to work on the standards and develop a framework for monitoring and maintaining the standard going forward.”
