Just a little over a month ago we told you about a new brokerage in Oxfordshire; now there’s another new player, this time in Cambridgeshire.

Established by well-known The Mortgage Broker, the new firm, called The Commercial Insurance Broker, will provide SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises) free and impartial advice, according to a report by Cambridge News. Based in Eaton Socon, it will also cover specialist household risks, as well as catering to landlords.

“We exist to become the breath of fresh air in the insurance broker market and we are not restrained by a distant owner or group politics,” said head of insurance Glynn Rowe, as quoted by the report. “We are a broker with the knowledge of not just the industry, but the local market and the risks businesses face locally.”

Rowe’s more than a decade of industry experience includes time spent at PIB Insurance, John Holman & Sons, Fenton Insurance, and Playle Russell.

Parent company The Mortgage Broker was established in St Neots, Cambridgeshire in 2011. It provides access to professional advice and guidance in all areas of the mortgage market across the UK.
