Hickman said the goal is to transform LV= into “a company that puts digital at the centre of everything it does.”

“The services, products and overall experience our customers expect from us are changing considerably and if we want to remain relevant to our consumers then we need to embrace technology and make it a core part of everything we do,” Hickman said.

Hickman will report to Heather Smith, digital transformation director, who commended the newly promoted executive’s “outstanding track record of delivering and managing change.”

“He has some fantastic insight into how the company and our market operate along with a strong understanding of existing and emerging technology,” Smith said.

Prior to his new role, Hickman was the head of self-serve operations within the LV= Broker business, responsible for the creation and execution of the personal lines, commercial package and motor operational strategy.
