Burns & Wilcox has announced the relocation and expansion of its Philadelphia office. The larger space will give Burns & Wilcox the ability to double its current staff, and marks the company’s second investment in the state of Pennsylvania this year.

“As part of a long-term, strategic development plan, Burns & Wilcox has prioritized specific locations, such as Philadelphia, for greater capital investments,” said Alan Jay Kaufman, chairman, president and CEO of Burns & Wilcox and its parent company, H.W. Kaufman Group. “The company has continued to solidify strong insurance revenue growth in Philadelphia and eastern Pennsylvania, and our heightened presence in the state signifies our dedication to providing excellent levels of service and expertise to our retail brokers and agents.”

According to Burns & Wilcox, its Philadelphia employees have consistently achieved double-digit year-over-year growth, and the local Philadelphia office has seen an increase of about 30% over the last year.

“The Burns & Wilcox presence in Philadelphia and the East Coast is growing at an increased pace, and we have hired new associates to meet the demand,” said Jim E. Epting, corporate vice president. “This new space affords us the ability to continue on our increasing trajectory, providing world-class service for hard-to-place risks in the commercial, professional, personal and environmental insurance lines.”

Burns & Wilcox’s new office is located at 100 Tournament Drive, Suite 230, Horsham, Pa.
