Hanover Insurance may be one of the oldest names in the industry, but from Monday it will have a new face among its leadership team.

Mark L Keim (pictured), 51, has taken the role of executive vice president of corporate development and strategy at the Worcester-based firm. Keim boasts extensive experience having worked in various roles at Fortune 50 companies and will now work alongside members of the insurer’s senior team to identify strategic business opportunities going forward.

“Mark is a highly talented senior executive with outstanding financial acumen and broad experience in corporate development,” said Joseph M. Zubretsky, president and chief executive officer at The Hanover. “He has a long, stellar track record and a true talent for creating value through the development of strong, creative business partnerships and joint ventures as well as successful mergers and acquisitions. We are very excited to have Mark join our team.”

Prior to joining The Hanover, Keim co-founded HealthReveal, a pioneering big data analytics company. Previously, he held key leadership roles at Aetna, from 2008 to 2014, serving as global head of strategy and corporate development, as well as president of the organization’s venture capital business.
