Liberty Mutual Insurance has completed its acquisition of Ironshore from Fosun International Limited, according to a news release. Liberty Mutual has now acquired a 100% interest in the global specialty company.

Liberty first announced a definitive agreement to purchase Ironshore in December. That announcement came barely a year after Fosun International had completed its own acquisition of the fast-growing insurer.

Liberty’s purchase price for Ironshore was $2.935 billion, subject to post-closing adjustments, according to the release.
