Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance (a brand under Liberty Mutual) have announced that they are sending teams of about 400 property and auto claims experts to Texas to help policyholders who have been affected by Hurricane Harvey with their claims.

A release outlined that about 2,000 specialists will be made available by telephone to assist customers. The companies have also set up temporary home and auto claims mobile units – one in Will Clayton Parkway in Humble and the other in The Woodlands Mall in The Woodlands.

“Helping our customers in their time of greatest need is our first priority, and we have a deep roster of nearly 2,400 claims experts on the ground and by telephone available to ensure that we are responding as promptly as possible to everyone who has experienced a loss from this storm,” said Liberty Mutual US Consumer Markets chief claims officer Michael Fiato.

“Once safe to do so, customers should reach out to us by phone, internet, mobile applications, through their agent, or at our temporary response vehicle locations with their claims or questions.”

The mobile claims units will be open from 8am to 6pm CT, Monday-Friday and 9am to 5pm on weekends and holidays.

Both companies also announced that their claims representatives will report flood claims to the National Flood Insurance Program on their customers’ behalf.
