A major automotive firm announced its partnership with insurer State Farm to provide access to its online tools - including its extensive dealer network, expert car reviews, live shopper advice service and guaranteed pricing.

Edmunds said the company considers its partnership with State Farm to be strategic because it allows them to tap a shared customer base already familiar with both brands to jumpstart their services.

“Edmunds and State farm have a common goal to be trusted partners for consumers’ automotive needs - so combining our strengths online is a win-win for car shoppers,” Edmunds chief revenue officer George Kang was quoted as saying by specialty publication Auto Remarketing.

“As we look to build an affinity program that offers additional value to consumers, State Farm’s…brand is the obvious choice for our first program.”

State Farm will also be able to contribute to the Edmunds resource by adding value to its existing dealer network and listings for millions of vehicles.
