If you’re going to enhance your reinsurance team, it might as well be with a big name from a significant market player – and that is exactly what Liberty Specialty Markets has done with its move for Bruce J. Love.

Love was the vice president at Munich Re before making the switch to the Liberty Mutual firm where he will take on the role of director of assumed reinsurance in its casualty treaty department.

Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Bruce will be responsible for producing, underwriting and servicing casualty and professional liability treaty reinsurance accounts.

“As a key player in the casualty reinsurance market, we are innovators with a proven track record for technical strength and having a solutions-based approach,” commented James D’Onofrio, general manager at Liberty Specialty Market’s US reinsurance operation. “Our people are a key part of this offering.

“Bruce’s background in professional lines and general casualty classes makes him a strong addition to our team in Stamford. His knowledge of the sector combined with broad business experience will be a real asset to our clients.”

In addition to working at Munich Re, Love has also spent time at Genesis Underwriting Managers, Employers Re and Discover Re.
