Ashley Gold joined Insurors of Tennessee in 2007 and now serves as its general counsel. Her concentrations include association and corporate law, commercial real estate, and government affairs. Gold is a member of various committees organized by the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to address misclassifications of employees in Tennessee. She has drafted, introduced and lobbied for passage of legislation on behalf of producers, and successfully lobbied against a bill allowing companies to opt out of workers’ compensation in the state.
Aside from serving as legal counsel, Gold is an educator for the industry, teaching classes on workers’ compensation, risk management, E&O, ethics and insurance law in Tennessee. Apart from her work in insurance and law, Gold serves on the board of trustees of the Oak Hill School and volunteers with local charities that organize triathlons for children, while also training for and competing in triathlons herself.
