Servco Pacifi c Insurance started off as Servco Insurance Services in 1961, primarily serving the Hawaiian insurance market. The agency opened an office in Seattle in 2010 under its current name, focusing on providing insurance products to marine-related businesses. Managing partners Graham Gardner and Trond Bodal both have more than 30 years of experience in insurance and marine-related businesses. Due to the prominence of commercial marine operations in the Pacifi c Northwest, Servco’s marine program is able to service a wide range of marine operations both domestically and internationally. According to Gardner and Bodal, “Marine insurance is very international. We routinely deal with markets across the US and Canada, London, Scandinavia, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan. With the international aspect comes time zone management. We may call an underwriter at 11 p.m. or at 6 a.m., depending on where they are located.”
