Insurance broker trailblazes with platform 'by women for women'

Diversity & Inclusion

Despite women accounting for 80% of purchasing decisions in the healthcare industry, there is a scarcity of available resources on women’s health and insurance solutions focused on their specific needs.

Leading health insurance broker Alea aims to bridge this gap with Alea for Women – a new platform by women for women to help them take control of their mental and physical health.

A uniquely women-focused offering, it will find them the right insurance – from health to critical illness and life insurance options – by comparing over 100 plans from 25 known insurance players, Alea said.

Alea clients will also join a community with exclusive access to wellness content and webinars with top female health professionals on topics like maternity care, annual check-ups, mental wellbeing, cancer prevention and treatment, parenting, general health coverage and more. They will also receive special perks from curated health, wellness, and lifestyle brands.

By shifting the traditional focus of health insurance from cure to prevention, Alea promises to help women feel empowered and well-protected.

In line with its commitment to women’s wellness, part of the proceeds of every new insurance plan with Alea are donated to the Karen Leung Foundation (KLF), a charity that raises awareness and support for cervical cancer.
