ComfortDelGro Insurance (CDGI), a Singapore-based insurance broker, has aligned with domestic security provider Red Sentry in a partnership that will provide increased security alongside its broking, claims, and risk management services.

Red Sentry will act as CGDI’s cyber advisory and consultancy partner, providing cybersecurity products, services, and consultancy to clients referred by CGDI. It will also provide free cyber vulnerability assessments for clients, similar to a health check-up, forming the basis for its service recommendations.

Paul Lim, CEO of Red Sentry’s parent company Secura, said the alliance will bring forth synergy between the two firms’ businesses. He cited the recent WannaCry global attack as a grim reminder of how vulnerable many organizations are.

“With Red Sentry providing solutions to deal with cyber risks and CDGI offering financial protection against various enterprise risks… we are confident that this collaboration will be mutually accretive to both our businesses,” Lim said.

“Through this collaboration, we are able to offer a strong value proposition in cyber protection to help these businesses become more resilient against future attacks.”

Meanwhile, CGDI chief executive officer Jimmy Chua says the “cyber health check-up” will help organizations identify weaknesses or areas of concern in their IT systems, allowing them to take steps to mitigate the risks.
