Now Health International Group has appointed Michel Faucher as managing director and chief commercial officer in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, based in its Dubai office.

The newly created role is part of the company’s continued investment in recruiting senior leadership to boost its worldwide expansion, a statement from the international private medical insurance (IPMI) provider said.

In his role, Faucher will be responsible for the company’s growth strategy in the Middle East & Africa region, supported by Sonja de Pattenden, general manager - MEA. As chief commercial officer, Faucher will oversee all commercial aspects of the business including underwriting, marketing, and regional compliance.

A seasoned executive with more than 30 years’ experience, Faucher has worked on both the insurer and consulting side of the industry. He has extensive global commercial experience having previously worked across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, North America, and Europe. He joins Now Health from Mercer, where he was employee health & benefits growth markets regional business leader.

To support its regional operating model, Now Health has also promoted Rob McIntyre, previously general manager for Asia-Pacific, to managing director for Asia-Pacific and chief distribution officer. Meanwhile, Alex Dalton will continue to oversee the Europe region and operations function in the capacity of managing director for Europe and chief operating officer.
