The latest Hays Salary Guide revealed the average wage for various roles in the general insurance broking sector in Australia. Are you getting what you deserve? Are you paying your staff a decent wage?

2012 has been a great year to be an insurance broker. Wages are up and the need of quality candidates has never been higher.

Over the past year Pi has seen a large increase in the salaries of our candidates and here are the averages we have seen:

    Assistant Account Executive: $65,000
    Account Executive: $85,000
    Account Manager/Senior Account Executives: $125,000
Divisional Manager / Managing Principal $165,000 plus

These packages are based on averages in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and should be considered appropriately to the top 10% of candidates in the industry.

    *Packages include superannuation.
