The greatest weakness for the average insurance broker is a strong resistance to change in an environment where moving with the times is so vital, according to some revealing new research.

Insurance Brokers merely work with the market available. It is generally the insurers who will not move quickly on areas such as emerging risks. This could be the fact they have trimmed their work forces right down or they wait to see what their competition is doing as it is easier to copy the other if they do anything. Cyber Liability Risks are the classic example here. Data breach and privacy breaches are substantial risks that do not readily have an insurance solution available in Australia.
