A mooted sell-off of a state-run insurance group could have huge impacts on consumers in the Northern Territory.

Would completely agree with Brett Hagan. The sale would be fraught with danger for small businesses in the NT, particularly in the outlying regions. There are absolutely NO guarantees the other insurers will continue to cover certain risks and regions or, if so, the premiums levels would become unlimited. The North Qld. situation is enough of an example alone as to what could occur. Businesses cannot sustain massive premium hikes and will face going broke.
