Mental health organisation beyondblue has criticised insurers for refusing some types of cover to people who suffer from depression and anxiety and is now calling for new legislation.

I would strongly suggest that Kate Carnell do her homework before she starts shooting from the lip. I think any Insurance Company can show her the evidence that mental illness can effect every type of Life risk. The longest claim I have ever had in 38 years in the Industry was directly related to stress. Calls such as this only serve to heighten peoples paranoia that Insurers are out to fleece them.
