Organisations are being urged to make more efforts to train the ‘lost generation’ following new research released on the eve of global talks in Davos.

"“We know that Australia is ranked fourth in the world for talent shortages." This is a myth! Industries are closing in Australia, and youth unemployment is a growing concern in Australia too. There's inadequate training and tertiary educational courses for young people, and our universities are focusing more on international students than local students. Education is prohibitively expensive, and there are few TAFEs. Businesses simply want quick and cheap workers from overseas.

@Tony B - Totally agree with your point that our schools & unis now seem more interested in International Students & the $$$ they bring rather than focussing on providing education & opportunities to young Australians.
