However, it may not be too late to build a resilient tomorrow

There’s certainly sufficient evidence to suggest our world is changing and will continue to do so. Human and natural ecological factors influence the climatic adjustments taking place. Its been a process that’s been going on for millennia. We are well into our journey of traveling within the climatic cycle of change – warmer weather in some parts extreme cold in others and seasonal storms more intense and frequent than ever witnessed before.
Notwithstanding the significant importance of our total ecosystem, the challenges taking shape for us as a people, evolve around human sustainability – how can we adjusts our lives to survive alongside a very significant and extreme climate adjustment? Vacate low lying topographies, more effective use of and greater investment in renewable energies, recycle like we have never recycled before and most importantly, assist those who live in less developed economies.
As Alison quite rightly suggests, and from the many, many books published on the topic, it’s not too late to build a resilient tomorrow but we most certainly need to take more urgent action now……….
