DUAL has announced a number of leadership changes within its Australian business.

Emily Winwood, commercial manager at DUAL Australia, has been promoted to take a global role within DUAL International as head of digital distribution. This London-based role was created to replicate DUAL Asia Pacific’s success in driving digital distribution and innovation in the region across the DUAL Group.

Michael Ussher took on the role of commercial manager in Asia Pacific to lead the commercial functions of SME underwriting strategy, portfolio analysis, marketing, digital strategy, and management of key national broker relationships. Ussher will be joined by Davina Smith to lead this area of the business.

Kerryn Symes was promoted to regional manager of Southern, to take charge of managing DUAL’s brokers in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. The Southern underwriting team will also be joined by new senior underwriters Warwick Hansen and Kelly Ross-Howard.

“I am incredibly proud to see a number of our future leaders taking the next step in their careers and excited about the opportunities this will create for the Asia-Pacific business to continue to position DUAL Asia Pacific as an innovator in the insurance market,” said Damien Coates, DUAL Asia Pacific CEO.

The specialty-lines underwriting agency said it is recruiting a new regional manager in Western Australia.
