Gallagher Bassett has expanded its international brokers division with the appointment of a 30-year insurance industry veteran.

Jason Allison joins GB’s North Sydney office as the Australian national business development manager for international brokers, to take charge of developing long-term organisational strategic goals, building key relationships with international brokers, maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and expanding GB’s service offering across all product lines.

“We look forward to tapping into Jason’s extensive experience and knowledge as we continue to improve and expand our international brokers offering,” said Stacey Williams, executive general manager of sales and engagement.

Allison brings extensive executive management experience to his new role, with a sharp focus on national product portfolios across varied markets, customer segments and distribution channels, including brokers, agents and the direct channel.

Prior to the appointment, he was business development manager at IPAR Rehabilitation. He also worked at Suncorp Group from 1998 to 2016, most recently as chief of the workers’ compensation portfolio and underwriting.
