An Australian-owned insurance and financial services broker will be joined by an industry professional with more than 16 years of experience with global and risk-managed clients.

Honan Insurance Group has appointed Travis Wendt as new head of broking and carrier management, to take charge of managing the group’s property and casualty placements as well as its cluster and broader insurance supplier relationships. He will be based in Honan’s Melbourne office.

Wendt’s role will also include working together with Henry Clark, Honan’s head of financial and professional risks, on strategic carrier initiatives.

Wendt “started his career as senior account executive for Marsh working in both Melbourne and London,” said Andrew Fluitsma, Honan managing director. “Travis spent the last decade at Aon working on complex placements across numerous sectors specialising in energy markets before his move to Honan.”
