The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has welcomed Vivienne Toll, head of workplace risk at Gallagher, as a director of the association.

Toll, a member of the Gallagher broking executive team, has a wealth of experience in insurance broking within the firm and a strong background in workers' compensation and workplace risk.

She was nominated for the NIBA role by Sarah Lyons, the chief executive of Gallagher in Australia.

NIBA President Tim Wedlock said Toll “will make a great addition to the NIBA board, especially with her strong background in workplace risk – an area where insurance brokers are playing an increasingly important role on behalf of their clients.”

“I am also delighted to have Gallagher directly represented on the national board, given the important role the company now plays across the country,” Wedlock said.

Toll said she was “thrilled and honoured” to represent Gallagher on Australia's peak broking body.

“I look forward to bringing a more holistic risk management focus to complement the traditional broking challenges,” she said. “This will provide me with the opportunity to advocate the many issues we are facing daily in workplace risk.”
