Suncorp is undertaking a review of its current media-agency contract, with three media agencies now vying for the $70m account.

The move comes 18 months after the Brisbane-based insurance giant appointed Publicis Media as part of a wider restructure of its marketing arrangements.

The review of Suncorp’s media arrangements, headed by Mim Haysom, executive general manager of brand and marketing, now sees three agencies competing for the $70m account – MediaCom, OMD, and Publicis Media, AdNews reported.

According to Nielsen, Suncorp spent $74m on media in the last 12 months to August 2018, across its roster of brands, including AAMI, GIO, and APIA.

Meanwhile, Suncorp is also currently pitching creative for its sub-brand Apia, the decision to which is expected to come out this week, AdNews said.
