Global brokerage Aon and Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart business that was formerly a part of Aon, have announced the top employers in Australia and New Zealand.

Now in its 19th year, the Aon Best Employers program recognised 12 organisations that managed to create sustainable competitive advantage by succeeding in four key areas: employee engagement, agility, engaging leadership, and talent focus.

Beating 77 other organisations for the honour were Carlisle Homes, Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand, Colliers International, FedEx New Zealand, Four Square (Foodstuffs North Island), MIGA, National Portrait Gallery, NTI (National Transport Insurance), Peoplecare, Perpetual, Plush, and Super Retail Group.

“Best Employers excel in navigating the most pressing people-related issues confronting organisations today,” said Stephen Hickey, head of culture and employee engagement for Asia Pacific and Middle East at Kincentric. “They’re building highly agile and adaptive workforces that are more likely to embrace change, innovate, and meet the evolving needs of their customers.

“Along with highly engaging leadership and an intense focus on talent management, Best Employers deliver to their people an experience that motivates them to contribute discretionary effort to the purpose and strategy of their organisations. This helps Best Employers deliver exceptional business results.”

Data collected over the past 18 years showed that Aon Best Employers had 86% higher sales growth and 71% higher operating income growth compared to average companies.

Moving forward, the Best Employer program will be offered by Kincentric following Spencer Stuart’s acquisition of these businesses from Aon.
