Blue Zebra Insurance (BZI) is on a roll this month as it launches a new small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) insurance product just one week after rolling out a new commercial motor offering.

The new SME Business Insurance, which is available on the updated BZI platform, offers comprehensive protection in modular form – with the option to add or subtract all core product liability products, add multiple locations onto a single policy, and tailor cover.

BZI managing director Colin Fagen said they will focus initially on industries least impacted in the current level of economic activity, with the plan to expand throughout 2021.

“In the future, we will have a broad appetite to meet the needs of our brokers. That means that over 11,000 Zebra Lounge users will be able to access the SME product with comprehensive policy wording for business liability, property protection, business interruption, portable property, crime, and equipment breakdown,” Fagen said.

BZI commercial lines CUO Mark Polglase added: “We acknowledge that it's a challenging time for the industry, especially with uncertainty around SME insurance. For me personally, it's incredibly satisfying to deliver a user experience and product that we think will change the game in this space.

“System user numbers on day one of SME launch surged towards record levels.  It's clear that brokers are looking for fresh options in this space.”

The new SME insurance product is backed by Youi, with the claims managed in partnership with specialist provider ProCare.
