Rajbir Singh Nanra became full-time CEO in January. Bringing over 25 years’ experi-ence in insurance and fi nance across the Asia Pacifi c, Nanra was previously CFO of Zurich’s gen-eral insurance business in Australia and New Zea-land. He takes the top job at a challenging time for Zurich globally. In January, the Group said it expected aggregate losses of approximately US$275m (A$391.55bn) for 2015. In early Decem-ber, global CEO Martin Senn decided to step down by mutual agreement with its Board of Directors (his replacement, Mario Greco, was recently announced). In Australia, it’s been reported that a restructure has aff ected many roles, in order to improve operational effi ciency to support Zurich’s local strategy and growth plans. What’s ahead for Zurich? Under Nanra’s leadership, will the Austral-ian business succeed in increasing its market share in the commercial insurance sector?
