Technology has changed the face of insurance by enabling swifter policy development from start to fi nish, serving as a tremendous boon for brokers. But Dale Hansen, CEO of Austbrokers Coast to Coast, is adamant that technology should never replace the human element in the insurance business.
“We have a total commitment to old-fashioned customer service – we listen to our customers and are able to tailor solutions that best suit their business,” Hansen says. “We don’t commoditise our customers or the products we offer.”
It’s an approach that has paid off. Highlights this year for Austbrokers Coast to Coast include being named Brokerage of the Year (6–20 Staff) at the inaugural Insurance Business Awards and being named one of three finalists by ANZIIF for Best Small Insurance Brokerage for 2018 (following on from wins in both 2016 and 2017). Additionally, Austbrokers Coast to Coast took great pride in having one of its brokers, Aimee Williams, highly commended at the Insurance Business Awards for Young Gun of the Year – Independent (1–19 Staff).
