Leadership
Nick Creatura – President and CEO

As the leader of CNA Canada, Creatura is responsible for executing profitable growth strategies for CNA’s operations in Canada, whether it’s through building scale and relevance by increasing brand awareness in the country or by using the expertise of CNA Canada’s various leaders to meet growth targets. Creatura also works with the international team to further develop CNA’s position in the marketplace. He reports to David Brosnan, chief executive of CNA Hardy.

Creatura has a long track record of personal, team, and business achievements that encompass 25 years of executive and finance experience. Before his role at CNA Canada, he was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Royal & Sun Alliance in Canada, and has previously held senior roles at Liberty, Chubb, and PwC in both Canada and the US.

Outside of the office, Creatura is a director at the Humber River Hospital Foundation and the St. Thomas of Villanova Foundation.

Culture

In 2018, CNA Canada marked a major milestone when the company celebrated its 100th anniversary. As part of the festivities, celebration events were organized in cities across the country as a way to show gratitude to brokers, staff and their communities.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to recognize all of the many contributions of current and former CNA employees over the years as well as the tremendous support that we receive from our brokers, our clients, and our communities,” said Creatura.

In honour of that support, CNA entered into a partnership with Tree Canada, a charitable organization dedicated entirely to forestation and reforestation, whereby CNA is funding the planting of thousands of trees across the country. CNA team members are also volunteering with several other organizations, such as the Canadian Blood Services.

Outside of its anniversary celebrations, CNA Canada has strong support for community giving. Its employees give their time to non-profit organizations throughout the year, and express their commitment through volunteer activities, such as charity walks and other community service projects.

The company is also doing its share in environmental preservation. In March 2022, CNA Canada, along with 14 other insurance companies in the P&C space, has partnered with environmental non-profit Ducks Unlimited Canada to launch The Nature Force – a climate resilience initiative aimed at focusing insurers’ investments into natural infrastructure solutions to mitigate flood risk.
