Loss of social is ‘to the detriment’ of the industry, says CEO

All good points Ross. I firmly believe that the industry has, and is, training personal lines clients to think that they don't need a broker and, to the detriment of the broker force, we've been quite successful :-(.... It's worrisome that we are now going down that road with commercial lines. The "all-inclusive" commercial package policies offered at very low cost do not leave enough commission for brokers to provide the high touch level of personalized service that commercial clients require. Consequently many brokers have no choice but to automate their processes, and reduce the amount of personal contact with commercial policyholders. The more this happens the more we train the client that they don't need the help and advise of a broker.
