Aviva and ProNavigator are creating a broker-branded app for Google Assistant, the built-in AI for Google Home. Customers will have the option to connect with a broker through the hands-free smart speakers such as the Google Home Mini and Google Home Max.
Similar to how customers have access to a Chatbot on a broker website through web chat, the Google Home app by Aviva and ProNavigator will allow customers to do the same through voice-chat on any Google Home device.
“In working with ProNavigator to develop the app, one of the must-have fundamentals was to make this for multiple markets so brokers are able to interact with their customers who prefer a voice command experience,” said Tom Reid, Executive Director, Digital Brokers at Aviva Canada. “We’re still in the test and learn phase, but we’re very encouraged to see our broker partners show immense desire to innovate with Aviva.”
Some of the functions on the broker-branded app include:
• Answers to frequently asked insurance questions
• Instant auto quotes (Ontario only)
“With consumers valuing speed and convenience, we are seeing the rise of voice as the next search engine,” says Joseph D’Souza, CEO and Founder of ProNavigator. “In our collaboration with Aviva, technology and innovation have come together to improve and simplify the lives of customers and this has been our aim behind everything we do.”
Currently, three brokers have joined the Google Home experience including, Isure, Mitchell & Whale, and Excalibur. When released, their apps can be made available on Google Home under the respective broker name. Some of the ways customers can interact with the app using voice is to say: “Ok Google, let me talk to <app name>”. The live market date is currently under development.
