ClaimsPro Catastrophic Response Teams mobilized in Atlantic Canada

By ClaimsPro

HALIFAX, NS – September 9, 2019 – ClaimsPro, Canada’s independent adjusting and claims management leader, has mobilized its Catastrophic (CAT) Response Teams in Nova Scotia and the surrounding Atlantic Canada region, to support communities affected by remnants of Hurricane Dorian. ClaimsPro has deployed its local adjuster teams in the region to provide immediate response, and additional resources from across Canada have been flown in to further increase capacity and expedite the claims process for clients.

Hurricane Dorian, which made landfall on the southwest coast of Nova Scotia on Saturday evening and sustained winds of 148 km/h, has left hundreds of thousands of people without power across the Atlantic provinces, as well as significant property damage throughout the region including numerous trees uprooted, and the destruction of a large construction crane in downtown Halifax.

“First and foremost, our thoughts are with the affected communities across the Atlantic Region as many of our own ClaimsPro employees have also been affected by the hurricane,” says Lorri Frederick, President of ClaimsPro. “Our adjuster teams have been deployed to the affected areas and we remain focused on supporting our clients and their insureds to process claims as rapidly as possible, and to provide any assistance necessary as the region recovers.”

ClaimsPro’s CAT Response Team has extensive experience, as well as a breadth and depth of skills that distinguishes them in the industry. They provide the largest local presence and are able to handle not only large volumes, but also specialty or commercial losses. The team’s experienced adjusters understand the impact of a CAT on insureds, and they are sensitive to their situation and provide the professional care and attention needed during such a time.

ClaimsPro CAT teams are on standby and ready to support insurers, brokers, and property owners with emergency claims services as damage is assessed and the recovery process continues across the Atlantic region.
