Another car company is looking to disrupt the auto insurance market, as the German automobile company Porsche introduces its new insurance offering to drivers in Canada.
The new Porsche Insurance – which is being offered through Porsche Financial Services Canada, the car manufacturer’s lease and retail finance business in Canada – is a comprehensive auto insurance offering. Apart from auto insurance coverage, it also features benefits such as rental services for a comparable vehicle while a customer’s car is in repair, the use of OEM replacement parts for repairs in the event of a damage claim, and all repairs being performed by Porsche-trained technicians and brand-approved facilities, where applicable.
Porsche also said that customers not only get to secure “the most optimal coverage plan” for their car, but also to bundle the coverage with supplementary products such as homeowners insurance for further discount eligibility.
“We are pleased to be able to offer customers of the brand a compelling vehicle insurance option,” said Porsche Financial Services Canada president and CEO David Williams. “By combining our sports car expertise with Aon’s coverage know-how, Porsche insurance brings peace-of-mind to the most discerning customers.”
Porsche Insurance is offered in partnership between Porsche Financial Services Canada and Aon, a release said.
