Duuo, the online insurance distributor business of The Co-operators, has formed a new partnership with Farmers’ Markets Ontario (FMO).

Through the partnership, Duuo will provide FMO vendor-members with on-demand liability insurance coverage. The company is offering coverage in three packages, which range from a one-day coverage package, to a season pass. All the policies will cover vendor-members at farmers’ market events in any location over a six-month period.

“The lack of affordable liability insurance coverage has been a barrier for farmers and small businesses wishing to sell at markets. Our partnership with Duuo removes that barrier by providing great pricing for on-demand online insurance,” said FMO executive director Catherine Clarke.

“We created our vendor insurance offering to provide Canadian vendors with easier access to affordable, online coverage,” said Duuo partner success manager Sunni Shannon.

Duuo first launched its vendor insurance offering in Spring 2020. The company previously offered similar on-demand insurance packages to artisans and craftsmen associated with One Of A Kind Show

Last month, the company expanded the availability of its on-demand tenant insurance offering to residents of Québec. Duuo also said that it was partnering with property managers to provide them with a dashboard, which allows property managers to stay on top of their tenants’ coverage.
