CHES Special Risk has launched a new sister company – CHES Financial Services.

CHES Financial Services specializes in life, health, critical illness, and travel insurance. The new subsidiary also offers employee benefits solutions.

A release said that CHES Financial Services’ offerings allow P&C brokers to take advantage of the growing demand for one-stop shop solutions for their customers’ insurance needs.

“There is a substantial demand from P&C brokers for help in securing competitive and flexible terms in the life, health, critical illness, and travel insurance, and employee benefits markets,” remarked CHES Financial Services and CHES Special Risk president and CEO Gary Hirst. “In response to that demand — and in keeping with our diversity and range in products provided by the group — we have established CHES Financial Services as a conduit into an area that P&C brokers have not previously had access.”

Hirst commented that P&C brokers might have previously missed out on certain opportunities to cover difficult-to-place programs and health care exposures, but CHES Financial Services will help resolve that.

“We are now providing brokers with an avenue to offer a full suite of coverage with the same expert service they are accustomed to at CHES Special Risk,” the CEO said.

CHES Financial Services is currently operating in Ontario, and is in talks with distribution partners to expand into other provinces.
