Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) has announced that it has acquired Belton Boisselle in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Belton Boisselle is an employee benefits, group retirement, and individual insurance broker and consultant serving clients across Western Canada – primarily in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The broker provides group benefit and retirement plans, individual life and living benefits, as well as investment strategies.

As part of the transaction, Belton Boisselle president Roger Belton, president of group benefits and pensions Kasey Boisselle, and their associates will remain at their current Winnipeg location. They will be under the supervision of Gallagher international employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations head Leslie Lemenager.

“Belton Boisselle Ltd. provides high-quality service and innovative solutions to local, national and multinational clients. Their combination of expertise and creativity has earned them an excellent reputation,” said Gallagher chairman, president and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. “I am very happy to welcome Roger, Kasey and their associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals.”

In a previous statement last year, Gallagher Canada national president Stephen Bryant said that the company is “focused on continued growth in areas that complement [its] existing business,” by acquiring merger partners that share Gallagher’s cultural values.
