Hub International Limited has continued its Ontario buying spree with the acquisition of Clearwater Insurance Group. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Toronto-headquartered Clearwater Insurance offers its clients customized insurance programs and proactive health services. Alexander Eaton, president of Clearwater Insurance, will join Hub Ontario and will report to Curtis McCone, president of wealth management and employee benefits for Hub Ontario.

The acquisition is part of Hub’s ongoing Canadian employee benefits growth and service strategy. The global broker has made several acquisitions in Ontario recently.

Last week, Hub announced the acquisition of Access Insurance Brokers, a provider of personal and commercial insurance products. In August, Hub acquired Ontario-based employee benefits and pension specialist Benefit Broker Services and Southland Insurance Brokers, an Ontario-based brokerage specializing in auto, travel and commercial insurance. Shortly before its acquisition of Southland, Hub acquired the property and casualty business of Cypher Systems Group.
