iA Financial Group has announced its appointment of Stephan Bourbonnais as executive vice president of wealth management.

As EVP of wealth management, Bourbonnais will oversee four business organizations: iA Clarington Investments, iA Private Wealth, Investia Financial Services and iA Capital Markets.

In a release, iA Financial noted that Bourbonnais succeeds Sean O'Brien, who was appointed executive vice president of group benefits and retirement solutions last November.

Bourbonnais has more than 25 years of experience in wealth management, and has an MBA from HEC. Having held several senior positions at major financial institutions throughout his career, Bourbonnais joined iA Financial Group in 2021, initially as president of iA Private Wealth.

"A well-known leader in the Canadian financial services industry, Stephan is recognized for his leadership, vision, and team spirit. From now on, he will be leading the Wealth Management growth strategy,” said iA Financial Group president and CEO Denis Ricard. "Under his leadership and through his entrepreneurial spirit, I am convinced that our growth in this key area of iA's business will be highlighted by an exceptional and personalized customer experience."

In November, iA Financial named Éric Jobin as executive vice president of operational efficiency, who will be responsible for optimizing the organization’s operational efficiency. At the same time, O’Brien was tapped to fill in Jobin’s previous role as EVP of group benefits and retirement solutions.
