Independent Canadian brokerage Westland Insurance Group continues to grow out its national presence with its acquisition of Insurance Unlimited in Mississauga, ON.

Insurance Unlimited offers personal and commercial insurance services.

Following Insurance Unlimited’s acquisition, Westland has over 180 locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Founded in 1980, the brokerage currently has nearly 2,100 employees.

Last month, Westland Insurance acquired two other brokerages in Alberta: Riverstone Insurance in Canmore, AB, and Hill ‘n’ Dale Insurance in Breton, AB. Riverstone Insurance provides auto, home, commercial, and farm insurance services, while Hill ‘n’ Dale Insurance also offers auto, home, commercial and farm insurance, with the seven-man team additionally providing vehicle registry services.
