A harsh dissection of the revised Fair Insurance Code has been blasted by the CEO of this industry body. And another organisation has something to say for both sides.

Just over a month ago Tim Grafton provided the above comments to dismiss criticisms of the revised Fair Insurance Code on the Avonside Blog.

At that stage the Blog's analysis of the revised Fair Insurance Code was ongoing, and has only recently concluded. From the analysis it is evident that the Fair Insurance Code is anything but fair, there have been no significant improvements at all, efforts to "... raise the benchmark of customer service" are vaporware, and the Code lags well behind developments in other countries.

Should ICNZ wish to challenge this analysis I would be keen for them to do so. If the challenge could be illustrated with examples drawing on customer dissatisfaction with IAG's move to cash out claimants against their will we would all better appreciate how the ICNZ devised apparatus works.
