Fidelity Life is launching a special financial relief offer to aid customers affected by the recent flooding in parts of the South Island.

Customers of New Zealand’s largest locally owned and operated life insurer currently experiencing financial hardship due to the South Island floods can apply to have their premiums temporarily waived for three months without affecting their insurance protection. There is also potential to extend this scheme for an additional three months.

Chief customer officer Peter Doherty (pictured above) said the company is committed to helping South Island customers as they grapple with the financial pressures brought by the flooding, especially those in the rural sector still in the process of recovering from shortages of livestock feed and crop washouts caused by previous extreme weather.

“Our heart goes out to those affected and we encourage anyone who’s been impacted to reach out to their adviser and see how we can help,” said Doherty. “It’s important that customers maintain their cover, even when times are tough, as it can offer long-term financial security for their family and their business. This offer is a small way we can help our South Island customers get through this with one less thing to worry about.”

South Island customers interested in the financial relief offer may contact their financial adviser or Fidelity Life through 0800 203 750 or [email protected].
