The Risk Management Association (RMA) has announced Brian A. Weiss as its first chief strategy officer, as the organization expands its products, services, courses and event offerings.

Weiss joins the RMA from The Project Management Institute (PMI), where he was practitioner career development vice president. He also served as director of marketing at Aramark and director of global products and seevices at The Hay Group (now Korn Ferry). He holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from St. Joseph’s University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University.

In his new role, Weiss will help guide product development and the association’s overall vision as it proactively addresses the challenges and opportunities presented by a shifting financial services and risk management landscape. He will be based at RMA’s Philadelphia headquarters.

“We are fortunate to have a chief strategy officer with a proven and distinguished track record like Brian’s on board,” RMA president and CEO Nancy Foster said. “He clearly possesses the talent and experience to help The Risk Management Association grow as a professional association and indispensable asset to the financial services industry.”
