Starting in insurance at 22, straight out of uni, Ashleigh Mills rapidly worked her way from accountant’s assistant to broker. Today, Mills works as a Team Leader, as well as helping train newer staff, growing their knowledge and approaches to the ever-changing environment of the insurance industry. Mills believes that it’s important for the industry to remain interesting and accessible to the younger generation, so that insurers and brokers continue to be able to grow and change as required, especially with rapidly expanding technological change.
In October 2018, Mills was placed in charge of an existing broker’s portfolio whilst she went on maternity leave. Since that time, Mills has maintained the other broker’s portfolio (with a retention rate of 98%) as well as growing her own substantial book of business. Mills’ passion is for insurance and the company she works for. Accordingly, her long-term goal is to be offered a chance at directorship within the company. As for her clients? Well, she continues to work towards being viewed as a Broker of Choice, by providing sound advice, knowledge and service for any of their insurance requirements as they arise.
