Hayley Steele is a member of the FMG recovery team, with her current role to seek recoveries from liable third parties that have caused property damage to FMG’s clients. This includes motor and material damage and recovering from other insurance companies as well as uninsured third parties (that can be individuals and organisations). As well as this core role, Steele is responsible for the development of process improvement, including system changes. She is a key person who assists others in the team and the wider organisation.
Steele has helped shape New Zealand’s insurance industry by building FMG's reputation as a professional insurer in terms of the company’s approach to subrogated recovery. Additionally, Steele is helping create a consistent and ethical approach to recovery, ensuring certainty for consumers and insurers alike.
Currently, Steele seeks to develop her role within the recovery space, by expanding her technical development and also undertaking on-the-job learning to increase her knowledge in liability and debt recovery.
