Having recently moved from Australia to New Zealand, Lydia Flemming has a strong presence in the underwriting community of both countries, conducting business with transparency, integrity and respect. As a strong supporter of women in Insurance, Flemming is always encouraging younger women within the profession to develop themselves, and to not be afraid of the unknown or think that they are unworthy of a role or title.
Hand-selected to take part in the 10 Year Anniversary QBE Equipment program, Flemming has marked herself out as a future industry leader. Over the course of the next decade, Flemming sees herself as being “very successful” within the insurance industry – climbing the ladder and either establishing her own business or acting as senior management, a successful businesswoman either way. As someone passionate about the success of women in the wider business sphere, Flemming also wants to be involved in supporting fellow women as they expand their own talents in the workforce.
