Dynamic Reinsurance is following through on its push into the London market. The firm has named Juan Naveda as chief executive officer for its London office, as it works to extend a business built on Latin American reinsurance into one of the world’s most competitive risk centres.
Naveda brings more than 30 years of experience across insurance and reinsurance. His career spans complex risk transfer structuring and partnership development across London and Latin America.
Naveda began his industry career in 2001 as an executive director at Willis Ltd, a position he held for nearly 14 years. He then joined DUAL Corporate Risks, where he served as global development manager before taking on the role of managing director for Latin America.
In that managing director role, which he held for a decade, Naveda led underwriting across financial lines and drove the firm’s regional growth strategy.
The London appointment is the latest step in a broader leadership build-out at Dynamic Re. (CRX) In August 2025, the firm named Francisco Hernández as global CEO, Eduardo Betancourt as CEO for Latin America and Jesús Sánchez as chief commercial officer. The restructure was part of a stated plan to establish a London presence and extend the firm’s international reach.
Dynamic Reinsurance operates as a US-registered underwriting agency. It provides facultative and treaty reinsurance across property, casualty, financial lines, marine cargo and engineering risks.
The firm’s focus spans Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa region. AM Best assigned the firm a Performance Assessment of PA-2 (Excellent) in June 2025, citing strong underwriting capabilities, governance and financial performance.
Naveda said the appointment marks the start of a new professional chapter. “I am very excited to join Dynamic Re as CEO London and contribute to the growth and development of a company that is redefining the underwriting and reinsurance model in strategic markets,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post.
He added that Dynamic Re combines an international vision, operational agility and a genuine commitment to building long-term relationships within the sector.
Naveda’s Latin American expertise is well-timed. Reinsurance capacity for the region has grown over the past 12 to 18 months, driven by established players and new entrants seeking access. Parametric solutions and cyber insurance are among the lines gaining traction across the market.
That regional experience carries weight in London too, where the market is posting record figures. London’s share of the global reinsurance market reached an all-time high of 8.7% in 2024.
The market’s income has doubled over the past decade, reaching $187 billion, supported by a high concentration of specialist underwriting expertise and depth of capital, according to a 2026 London market report.
Dynamic Reinsurance said it expects Naveda’s relationships across the London market and his experience structuring international programmes to support the firm’s next phase of growth.
