Gallagher Re has named Sarah Maune (pictured) as vice president within its life solutions team, bringing more than 16 years of experience in the life re/insurance sector.
Maune joins from RGA’s global financial solutions unit, where she held responsibilities across reinsurance treaty management, asset-liability management, and actuarial modeling. Her work focused on global initiatives in financial structuring and risk analysis.
She holds a bachelor of science in mathematics from Missouri Western State University and a master’s degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri. Maune is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Maune's appointment follows two additional leadership hires announced by Gallagher Re earlier in May. Henrik Hoppendorff has joined as senior facultative broker within the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division.
Based in Stockholm, he will work with the Nordic team while also supporting client needs across the broader EMEA region.
Hoppendorff brings experience in property reinsurance across Continental Europe and London markets. He was previously divisional director and head of international direct & facultative property at United Insurance Brokers Limited from January 2023 to April 2025.
In Tokyo, Gallagher Re has also added Satoshi Yamazaki as senior manager. Yamazaki has more than a decade of experience in treaty and facultative underwriting and joins the firm after nearly eight years at Swiss Re.
He most recently served as senior property treaty underwriter and vice president in Tokyo, and also completed a short-term assignment in Australia during the 2022 renewal season.
Last month, the re/insurance broker also named Tom Dixon as head of legacy UK. Dixon brings two decades of experience spanning insurance audit, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and legacy portfolio management.
A chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, he most recently served as managing director at Perigon Re.
